This is a cool picture! This big ol boy was caught back in 08. Notice the wood net, I loved that net, but it just wasn’t long enough.
The fish was caught on a “BC Hopper” in July. As I recall, the fish was hooked while Jumbo fished out of the sack seat. The Front seat guy “Wild Bill” was fighting a 19 inch brown when the big one ate Jumbo’s dry. I yelled “SET IT”, the rest is history.
Bill was in shock, as we netted the two footer, just after shake in off his nice one. It was the weekend, and a raft with 3 bikini clad girls, clapped and cheered as they floated by. Jumbo, was never more proud. We caught 11 fish that day, all browns, and all were large. The Jumbo landed a 22 and a 24, he might not top that day.
